Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral

A building that I like is the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral or just GAM, it is a cultural center on Santiago de Chile, it was built to serve as the headquarters for the third UNCTAD conference, after that it was used as official residence for Augusto Pinochet, then it was main the building for the Ministry of National Defense.

In 2006 the building was damaged on fire so it was remodeled and now is a cultural center.

I like this building because it is a great cultural center, many art things and is very flashy, it has always attract my attention, the first time i saw it was like 2010 and i was very curious about it.

I think people in Chile likes the building but aren't really interested on it, i don't why, it is very different to the others buildings in Santiago but blends very well, it doesn't break with the other buildings and is very important for the history of Chile.
